About Cap.t J's Hurricane
Welcome
Capt. J's Hurricane is a completely new concept in Tilburg. A real tropical tiki room and latin club in the middle of the center.
There are few ways to escape modern problems, but what if there was a place that transported you to another world? The ultimate achievement in escapism. Enter the Tiki Room.
No, not an oceanfront retreat with sugary drinks, but a real summer themed tiki bar with a bit of Polynesian flair and especially delicious balanced cocktails.
Meanwhile you can hear the best summer music passing by. The Bachata, Merengue, Reggae, Kizomba, Salsa, Reggaeton, Dem Bow, Ritmo Kombina, Zouk and Caribbean sounds bring you into a tropical atmosphere. Every Friday is PERREO reggaeton and dem bow, every Saturday BACHATA DREAMS. Every 2nd thursday of the month there is MOTO MOTO afro and amapiano.
Tiki culture first became popular in Hollywood in the 1930s, thanks to a man named Donn Beach (originally Ernest Gantt). Tiki's ancestor was a World War II veteran who saw the need for the world to "go away" for a while. and so he opened the Don The Beachcomber restaurant.
The visitors were amazed by the exotic atmosphere, the South Sea inspired food and of course the drinks. His restaurant was the basis of the most famous tiki cocktails like the Zombie, Navy Grog and the Three Dots and A Dash Those cocktails are staples of tiki bars to this day and should of course not be missing from our menu.
Does the location look familiar? That could be right! Capt. J's Hurricane is located in the Lollipop property. And an icon like De Lollipop can of course never disappear. Lollipop Outdoor will therefore certainly continue to exist as a festival!
So are you going to the Tilburg Fair, the largest fair in the Benelux? Then you can Capt. Don't miss J's Hurricane of course during Pink Monday and the False Start: DragWars. Then we will be called as usual for a while: Lollipop Outdoor
But we also go full throttle during carnival, the Meimarkt and the TOP week. The Festival of the Song of Life in June is of course not to be missed either. The stage is right outside our door, so the best place is guaranteed.

We bring you into a tropical atmosphere with the best music from the Caribbean, such as bachata, salsa and reggaeton.

Eleven years ago, with a generous dose of courage and a love for nightlife, we took over De Lollipop. What started as a familiar hotspot grew into something even bigger.
In 2022, we gave our dream a fresh, tropical reboot as Capt. J’s Hurricane: a place where tropical vibes, great music, and an open, inclusive atmosphere converge. And with one clear mission: good vibes, strong cocktails, and nights to remember.
We are Fransjan and Jeroen, and together with our Tiki Crew, we keep De Hurricane going. This isn't just a bar. This is our Hurricane. Feel free, feel at home, and let yourself be carried away.
